Artweeks Istanbul X Edition

Hello from the crazy, energetic and chaotic city of Istanbul!
I am thrilled to announce my first exhibition here this season which is taking place at Artweeks with Galeri Bosfor.
I wanted to create a brand new piece for this exhibition as a way to celebrate the begining of my time here. Focusing on just this piece, I worked fast and purely intuitively. I didn’t know what the finished work would look like, which was both scary and exciting.
But now that the work is finished, I have been having so much fun discovering the little details about it. I see influences from ancient goddess figurines, from botany and from coastal cliffs. There are subtle curves and delicate edges, tiny arches and grounded feet. There is weight yet also lightness.
