Finding Your Way

March 3, 2025

I’ve recently started a new series of works titled Finding Your Way. This collection is my attempt to make sense of the daily rhythms of life and deepen the connection with my inner self. I hope these pieces will offer you a chance to quiet the noise around you and explore your own inner dialogues.

This series marks a natural progression from my earlier work. While my previous pieces incorporated functional forms like vases and bowls, they’ve since evolved into purely sculptural works. The new pieces are both abstract and figurative, much like clouds in the sky—shapes that can be interpreted in many ways. I invite you to discover your own story within them, but I also want to share what each piece means to me.

Introducing the first three pieces from Finding Your Way:

She is All Encompassing

She Is All Encompassing, 2024

Stoneware, Mineral Pigments

38 x 18 x 18 cm (14.96 x 7.09 x 7.09 in)

For me, sculpting is more than just a technique—it is an intuitive and evolving creative process. When I begin a new piece, I rarely have a clear vision of the final form. This sculpture was no different. I started with the simple intention of creating an upright form, allowing my hands to guide me through touch and instinct.

As the piece evolved, I realized I had crafted a goddess figure—a woman who embodies all-knowing wisdom, boundless love, and a vast, all-encompassing presence. She stands resolute, unwavering in her strength, confident in who she is, and unafraid to reveal her true self to the world. Her wisdom allows her to remain humble, embracing her imperfections with grace. Above all, she is beautiful—not just in appearance, but in spirit. She serves as a reminder that we, too, should embrace our true selves without fear.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found, 2024

Stoneware, Mineral Pigments

12 x 20 x 23 cm (4.72 x 7.87 x 9.06 in)

I struggled with this piece for a long time. It felt as though it would never resolve itself or find a true sense of balance. I kept adjusting and refining, almost giving up—until I suddenly realized it was finished. This piece was lost for a long time, but it was able to find its way back.

To me, it embodies the passage of time. I see the anatomy of a heart, momentarily at rest between two beats. I see the gently decayed skull of a desert dweller, uncovered after years of solitude. I see time itself, captured in both fleeting moments and vast expanses. All of it contained within a single vessel—just as we carry the many stories of our own lives.

Quiet Resilience

Quiet Resilience, 2024

Stoneware, Mineral Pigments

26 x 27 x 23 cm (10.24 x 10.63 x 9.06 in)

This piece has become one of my favorites. I began sculpting it from the center, allowing it to expand outward as my hands guided the process. I let the form evolve naturally, and in the end, it revealed itself as a beautiful surprise.

This piece embodies both strength and fragility, striking a peaceful balance between the two. The soft, rounded base is grounded and sturdy, allowing the sculpture to rest with ease. Its form gently curves and supports delicate contours, creating a sense of harmony. Its inner steadiness grants the piece a relaxed confidence, as if it takes calm, even breaths. The defined edges stand out with a quiet resilience, unafraid of damage. It is strong, yet it embraces its own vulnerability.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know She Is All Encompassing, Lost and Found and Quiet Resilience. These pieces are available from my studio. If you are interested in acquiring my work please get in touch by filling out the contact form at the end of this page.
